In the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Kufa, a master’s thesis was discussed (link between the dominant awareness and commitment to treatment for patients with COPD) to the student Abbas Fadel Mousa, where the study tool was adopted and developed by the researcher to describe the study phenomenon, and determine the stability of the measurement tool through The use of internal consistency scale, while the credibility of the questionnaire was determined by the experts in the field of study.

The results of the study indicated that there is a significant direct and positive relationship between controlling consciousness and treatment adherence. The study concluded that there is a link between controlling awareness and patients’ commitment to treatment for patients with COPD.

The study recommended that researchers and health care providers be encouraged to use the results of the current study as a database for further studies in the future and to assess factors that affect the sense of control among patients with COPD, as well as to find appropriate solutions to these factors to improve patients’ control of the sense of control and commitment With medication.
