College of Nursing discusses a master thesis on (knowledge and attitudes of undergraduate students towards sexually transmitted diseases at the University of Kufa)

The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Kufa discussed the master’s thesis (knowledge and attitudes of undergraduate students towards sexually transmitted diseases in the University of Kufa) to the student Saif Mossadegh Hassan, where sexually transmitted diseases are one of the most serious problems on the health of the community because they occur not only in poor countries but also in Rich countries are also among the top five diseases in the loss of the basics of healthy living for young people and make them constantly seeking health care services.

The study aimed to assess the level of knowledge and attitudes of undergraduates towards sexually transmitted diseases and find the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of students with their demographic characteristics.

The study concluded as a result of the absence of this subject in the curriculum and weakness in the media and government health programs in addition to the negative impact of customs and traditions, which led to a low level of knowledge about sexually transmitted diseases among students.

The study recommended conducting seminars and guidance programs for university students on sexually transmitted diseases, especially for humanities and some scientific colleges.
