The College of Nursing is discussing a Master Thesis on (Violence against health care workers in emergency departments in hospitals in the holy city of Najaf)

At the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Kufa, Nabil Bassem Nasser held a discussion on the Master Thesis (Violence against health care workers in emergency departments in hospitals in the holy city of Najaf), where the study aimed to identify the types of violence against health workers in emergency departments and identify more Workers are vulnerable to violence in hospitals, as well as to know the relationship between the severity and types of violence against health workers and their social and demographic characteristics of gender, age, year of experience, level of education, and job description.

The results of the study indicated that psychological violence is the most common type of violence, with mental violence recording 96.4%, physical violence 50.3%, and sexual harassment 18.51%.

The results of this study also show the importance between psychological violence and health workers in its night swap and great importance with nursing personnel in physical violence.

The study recommended the enactment of laws that protect nursing staff from the risk of violence and enhance security coordination in the hospital, as well as conduct community awareness campaigns on the risks of violence against health workers.
