The Basic Sciences Branch holds a panel discussion

The Department of Basic Sciences at the College of Nursing at the University of Kufa held a panel discussion on the energy hormone in the body, which included a lecture given by Dr. Dina Adnan Abdullah, in which she touched on the definition of the hormone, which is one of the group of B vitamins, and is tasked with ripening the red blood cells that form in the bone marrow, It also maintains the integrity of nerve fibers and the formation of nucleic acids, as it enters the formation of thymidine triphosphate, and the body needs five micro grams of it per day

She added that the lack of vitamins causes severe damage to the body, and leads to infection of many diseases, where the body’s immune system loses strength due to not being sufficiently nourished from them.

She stated that the hormone has several important factors, including heart palpitations, where the flow of oxygen to the tissues is affected when there is a deficiency in vitamin B12 in the body, which leads to an increase in heart palpitations. Vision loss Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to damage to the optic nerve and blood vessels in the retina, which leads to blurring of vision and vision loss, and memory loss Vitamin B12 deficiency causes depletion in the production of serotonin in the brain, causing neurological problems, memory loss, and shortness of breath This is also due to the influence of the flow of oxygen to the tissues due to a lack of vitamin B12 in the body, which leads to shortness of breath, and constipation makes a lack of vitamin B12 in the body difficult to absorb nutrients, which causes problems in the digestive system and thus constipation.
