The College of Nursing holds a workshop on cold bites or frostbite

The branch of pediatric nursing at the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Kufa held a workshop on the cold bite or the frostbite, where the workshop included a lecture delivered by the lecturer Israa Shaker, in which she spoke about the types of bite of the cold, its risk factors, symptoms, treatment, complications caused and ways to prevent it.
She explained that the causes of frostbite are due to the fact that the blood carries oxygen to all parts of the body, but when the body is exposed to severe cold for a long time, the blood vessels as a preventive reaction transforms the blood loaded with oxygen away from the limbs to the vital organs, which causes a lack of blood supply to the limbs.
