The concept of electronic government

Before embarking on a concept for e-government, we must introduce some features of traditional government as the basic basis for the e-government model. Where it is defined as the organizational entity formed by countries for managing the affairs of the country and making strategic decisions related to the political, economic and social future. This administration covers the areas of strategic, economic, military and security planning, developing the national product, educating citizens, maintaining their health, improving their living conditions, managing crises, developing the country’s relations with the outside world, and other multiple tasks.
The concept of e-government is the use of information and communication technology to improve the way government services are performed. In other form, it means changing the method of service performance from a method characterized by red tape, bureaucracy, multiplicity and complexity of procedures to a method that relies on the use of information and communication technology to improve the performance of government services in order to provide them to the citizen in an easy way through the Internet, which saves a lot of effort and money, thus reducing the cost of service performance, but what is important The electronic government ?
According to research sources, e-government is achieved by realizing the fact that the world today requires society to be advanced and is characterized by the existence of three basic conditions: accountability, flexibility, and good governance, which are the pillars of e-government, and the latter came after the emergence of images of administrative and financial corruption in Society and its institutions To fix this matter, ways were sought to address the e-government. It is one of the protective measures against the spread of corruption on the one hand and working to prevent it on the other hand. Also, the requirements of administrative reform obligate governmental institutions with a pattern of flexibility and clarity in their method of work. The government agencies track the delivery of information and services by managing multiple channels for transportation and connection by traditional methods such as using the phone, fax or manual methods, but the most important goal is to improve the quality of services and provide them. One of the positive factors for e-government is that it works to reduce the percentage of suspicious and potentially illegal relationships among officials and workers because it means first and foremost information flow and publicly circulating it through various means of communication and provides citizens’ communication with decision makers and those in charge of matters to dig them and trap corruption. In other words, e-government means openness to the public with regard to the structure of government functions and financial policies for the public sector, which would enhance accountability and credibility and support sound economic policies and lay off the vast army of corrupt employees financially and administratively. But what are the most important advantages and characteristics of e-government?
1- Collecting all information activities and services on the official website of the government on the Internet.
2 – Achieving rapid coordination and achievement among all government departments.
3 – Permanent contact with citizens
4 – The ability to provide all information and service needs of the citizen
5 – Reducing dependence on paperwork in government transactions
6 – Flexibility in dealing with citizens
7 – Breaking the geographical barriers between the citizen and the government.
Are we really in the third world or what is known as the developing world (courtesy of them) in need of electronic government? I think it is not easy to establish an e-government, however there must be justifications for the effort, time and money spent, and therefore I invite those in charge of the country’s affairs to take it into consideration because the use of information technology systems reduces the number of steps in the routine required to carry out the work, and tries manual jobs to automatic, as it is Reduces paper use and transfers information and secrets between employees. Providing electronic information and services can help attract new citizens and investors looking for suitable opportunities. The electronic government also provides a direct media outlet, along with newspapers, radio and television, to promote the work of the government. And most importantly, all is done through this electronic government to confront and fight spoilers in the areas of finance and administration, as a cause of underdevelopment.
