The Adult Nursing Branch at the Faculty of Nursing / University of Kufa held a seminar entitled “Facial Nerve Polio” on Sunday 17/3/2019. The seminar was moderated by lecturer instructor Mohammed Hakam Shamran and in the presence of faculty members and technical staff in the branch of nursing adults and nursing basics.
Facial nerve paralysis or what know Bell’s palsy affects the seventh nerve of the nervous system, which branches into several branches. One of them is responsible for the movement of the muscles in the face and the other part is responsible for the sensation in part of the tongue.
The most important thing discussed was how to distinguish by clinical diagnosis between facial paralysis caused by paralysis of the facial nerve or as a result of stroke.
