رؤيا الفرع :

فرع تمريض الاطفال فرع علمي يسعى إلى الريادة والتفوق لتقديم الخدمات في مهنة التمريض ولمختلف شرائح المجتمع مستندة إلى أسس علمية رصينة .

رسالة الفرع :

نظراً لأهمية التمريض في مجال الخدمات الصحية وبدون تمريض ناجح ومتطور لا يكتب النجاح للفعاليات الطبية وما يوازيها من فعاليات أخرى ،  بما يتناسب وهذا الطموح في إعداد كادر تمريضي تأهيلي لائق في تقديم الخدمات الصحية للفرد والمجتمع ويواكب التطورات في استخدام الوسائل والتقنيات الحديثة , هدف الفرع إلى توفير كادر تمريضي مؤهل علمياً وأكاديميا لتقديم الخدمة الصحية التمريضية وتدريب وتدريس المهارات التمريضية الجامعية لتهيئة وتخريج كادر تمريضي يلبي احتياجات المستشفيات والمؤسسات الصحية التعليمية في القطر وصولاً إلى النسب المتكافئة المتعارف عليها عالمياً من عدد الممرضين قياساً إلى عدد الأطباء.

أهداف الفرع :

1.تزويد طلاب التمريض بالمؤهلات العلمية والأكاديمية ومهارات التمريض التي تلبي احتياجات خدمات التمريض.

2.تزويد الطلاب بالمعرفة والمهارة في تمريض الأطفال من خلال المواد النظرية والعملية التي توفرها ورش العمل المحاضرات والندوات والدورات التدريبية السريرية.

3.تمكين الممرضين من تقديم خدمات الصحة التمريضية في المرافق الصحية.

4.إجراء البحوث العلمية في مجال تمريض الأطفال التي تساعد في تطوير خدمات التمريض.
