A master’s thesis discussion was held at the College of Nursing at the University of Kufa, by student Furqan Hadi Muslim Darwish, tagged (Evaluation of pregnant care services during the Corona pandemic in primary health care centers in Najaf).
The study aims to evaluate antenatal care services during the Corona pandemic in primary health care centers compared to the quality standards of the holy city of Najaf and compare antenatal care services during the pandemic and pre-pandemic services, as well as to find out which health centers are more effective during the epidemic.
The result of the current study revealed that pregnant women are satisfied to some extent (52%), and that most elements of the clinical examination were not conducted for them.
The study concluded that the Corona pandemic has an impact on the availability of care services for pregnant women, and there is also a relationship between the satisfaction of the pregnant woman, the economic status of the family, the level of education, health care centers and health education providers.
The study recommended the provision of gynecologists and professional nurses to all health centers. In addition, health officials should provide financial support to provide preventive materials to medical professionals and pregnant women who visit health centers.
