The College of Nursing is discussing a master's thesis

At the College of Nursing at the University of Kufa, a master’s thesis was discussed by the
student (Zina Razzaq Jaafar), tagged with (for the relationship between the adequacy of
blood flow and the quality of life for patients with hemodialysis )
Hemodialysis is the main treatment option for patients with end-stage kidney disease with
an increasing number of dialysis patients. ESRD is a chronic, restrictive disease that affects
patients' physical, emotional, social and sexual health. Chronic kidney disease and ESRD
have become a public health problem worldwide. These conditions increase the risk of
morbidity and death in patients and place significant economic pressures on the health care
system Chronic kidney disease affects more than 26 million people in the United States,
according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, costing $29 million a year in
the United States. The correlation descriptive design is used by the current study in order to
assess patients' dialysis adequacy, quality of life among dialysis patients with end-stage renal
disease who are undergoing dialysis, and to determine the association between dialysis
adequacy and quality of life And their demographic and clinical data for the study period
from December 14, 2021 to July 22, 2022. A non-probability sample (purposeful sample) of
(174) patients was included in the current study. All patients with end-stage kidney disease
undergoing dialysis. The study was conducted in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf City / Al-Sadr Medical
City and Al-Hakim General Hospital / Al-Hakim Dialysis Center. Data is collected through the
use of a questionnaire Using the interview technique after estimating the validity and
reliability of the study tool and the mathematical equation to determine the adequacy of
hemodialysis by measuring the adequacy of hemodialysis using the kt \ v formula and
assessing the quality of life using fluid SF 36. The data is analyzed by using the descriptive
and inferential statistical analysis approach. Spss variance 26. The results of the current
study indicate that all patients' responses to QoL Domine were impaired. Also, the result of
measuring the adequacy of (174) patients' response, i.e. (35.1%) achieved adequacy and
(64.9%) did not achieve adequacy. The result of the quality of life assessment showed that
(10.9%) had a good quality of life and (89.1%) had a poor quality of life The statistical test
result showed a highly significant correlation between quality of life and dialysis adequacy
for patients with end-stage renal disease who are undergoing dialysis (P value = 0.00). The
study recommended further research to improve the quality of life and the adequacy of
blood perfusion for patients with end-stage renal disease. Patients need individual medical
rehabilitation and education in order to manage and treat the condition As well as to avoid
complications. Moreover, according to the result of this study, the quality of adequacy of
blood flow in hemodialysis patients can be improved by adjusting some of the variable
parameters that affect adequate blood perfusion, such as increasing session duration and
repeated blood flow every week. Nurses play an important role in monitoring patients and
helping them improve their quality of life. Nurses in dialysis clinics should be encouraged to
communicate with and assist patients in ways that go beyond renal therapy
