An exceptional workshop was held in the College of Nursing / Basic Sciences Branch entitled (Techniques for grabbing students’ attention during the lecture). The lecturer referred to the ten-minute rule, which states that the student loses focus in the lecture every ten minutes due to the inability of the defense to absorb additional information. This problem is addressed through four techniques (linking, review, preparation, and motivating phrases).
