The Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Rajiha Abdul-Hassan Hamzah, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Zainab Ali Hussein, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Fatima Wanas Khudair, participated in the Fourth International Scientific Conference for Pharmaceutical Sciences, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ghani Zughair Al-Khakani, and a group of specialists and researchers. In a speech by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, he indicated that the conference embodies the research path of the college and its orientation towards treating the health problems of the community, indicating that its convening comes in line with the approach of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Kufa in keeping pace with the movement of scientific development coinciding with the passage of twenty-four years since the establishment of the college. The conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists and researchers to exchange and share their experiences and research results in all fields of pharmaceutical sciences and to create a platform for exchanging experiences between related specializations of researchers, participants and teaching staff to present and discuss the latest developments in terms of innovations, trends and concerns, in addition to practical challenges and solutions adopted in the fields of medical industries. The conference sessions included a discussion of many researches that dealt with a variety of topics, most notably, anti-aging treatments, evaluation of anti-cancer treatments, the relationship between some types of treatments and genetic properties in humans, the effect of antibiotics, an evaluation of blood sugar control in hospitalized patients, and an assessment of the knowledge, trends and interests of the population. Central and southern Iraq regarding the different types of coronavirus vaccines, and assessing the awareness of pregnant women and their commitment to nutritional supplements such as iron, folic acid, calcium and vitamins during pregnancy, in addition to other topics related to drug and pharmaceutical issues.
